“YISG Media Village” Multimedia School is an educational and practical platform for young journalists, photographers and designers involved in the field of scientific journalism, who will be covering events for YISG. YISG Media Village includes lectures and hands-on activities of creating media products. The number of participants is determined by the organizers. According to the results of their work, special nominations will be awarded, such as "Best Text", "Best Picture" "Best News", "Best News Report", "Best PR Manager".

 

 

 

Rules

“YISG Media Village” Multimedia School

(Yakutia International Science Games)

 

1. General

1.1. The “YISG Media Village” Multimedia School (Media School) is a youth press center of YISG, in which participants will practice their skills in Journalism, while creating an information platform for covering the events of the YISG.

The aim of the Media School is to promote journalism, to teach the young generation skills in journalism and public relations and develop intercultural communication.

Expected results from the work of the Media School are to create and broadcast media products about YISG in the mass media; to gain experience in working with the media, to develop skills in journalism and public relations.

1.2. The Executive Organizer is defined according to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

1.3. The Organizer forms the composition of the Organizing Group for the preparation and hosting of the Media School (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Group), the composition of mentors (hereinafter referred to as Mentors) and submits to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for approval.

1.4. The working language of the Media School is English.

 

2. Management

2.1. The overall management of the preparation and hosting of the Media School is carried out by the Organizing Group.

2.2. The Organizing Group is empowered to:

• provide conditions for hosting the Media School;

• organize the awarding of participants;

• form the composition of mentors;

• provide interaction of the Media School participants with the mass media;

• solve organizational issues arising during the work of the Media School;

• analyze and summarize the results of the Media School and submit the report to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

2.4. The Mentors are empowered to:

• provide consulting assistance to the participants of the Media School;

• conduct classes for participants of the Media School on Journalism and Public Relations;

• review results of the participants’ work, discuss and analyze mistakes;

• define special nominations for participants of the Media School.

 

3. Participation

3.1. Participants are students who have experience of studying in other multimedia schools, or working in school and other media organizations are allowed to take part in the Media School.

3.2. The Organizing Group has the right to limit the number of accepted applications for participation in the Media School, if the number of participants exceeds 100 people.

3.2. Registration of participants is carried out in accordance with the YISG Terms and Conditions.

 

4. Hosting

4.1. An up-to-date program will be published on the YISG website 2 months before the launch of the Media School.

4.2. The program of the Media School includes: master classes of journalists and PR managers, practical seminars on developing special skills of working with media equipment and creating media products, practical training in journalism and PR, psychological training, cultural and educational excursions, etc.

 

5. Results and Awards

5.1. Each participant is awarded by a certificate of participation in the Media School.

5.2. Based on Mentors' recommendations, the participants of the Media School are awarded by special nominations.

 

6. Copyright

6.1. Copyrights for media materials during YISG are held by the participants of the Media School.

6.2. Media materials Media schools are used to create information coverage for the YISG.
